Inside David and Victoria Beckham's £60 million new home with 9 bedrooms and parking for a yacht

The Beckhams have splashed out tens of millions of pounds to buy a new Miami mansion - leaving them far removed from their humble upbringings.

Singer turned designer and former footballer have the cash to burn as they are worth in excess of £300 million - and have reportedly now put down £60 million to secure a dream home in Florida. The house has nine bedrooms, a rooftop lounge - and luxuries such as a gym, home cinema and an infinity pool.

Located on the seafront, the couple will be able to park a yacht on their property as there is mooring at the end of a walkway. They may also rub shoulders with other stars - as the Bee Gees, Matt Damon, 54, Jennifer Lopez, 55, and sport stars Dwyane Wade, 42, and Chris Bosh, 40, all reportedly live or have lived in the same Miami neighbourhood.

Images of the property show open plan living areas, a spa with a massage room, and 13 bathrooms - with all the interiors designed to a high standard. The luxury accommodation is far removed from the homes the star parents were brought up in.

David was raised in the Leytonstone neighbourhood in east London - growing up in a modest three-bedroomed mid-terrace property. In 2008, the property drew headlines when it went on the market for £850,000 despite other properties around it being worth only £250,000 - but buyers bid over £1 million thanks to the famous former inhabitant.

An estate agent told at the time: "We've had a couple of concrete offers, one for £1 million from an Australian who is into Beckham memorabilia. But we're looking at someone else who might be more serious. David might make still make an offer himself - we were hoping he would come round on Wednesday, but Capello dropped him from the team. I'm meeting the owners tomorrow so they can decide which one they want to go for."

Vicky, meanwhile, grew up in North London in a former village primary school building that was converted into a home by her parents Tony and Jackie Adams. The former Spice Girl posed for snaps in the home for in 2017 and reflected on her time in the house.

She said: “[My parents] bought it as a shell and did it all themselves. I remember my mum cooking on a camping stove because we didn’t have a proper kitchen... Never would I have thought all those years ago that Vogue would be shooting me at my parents’ house."

Explaining why she was banned from decorating her room herself as a child, she said: “My dad worked really hard to have the money for us to have a nice house, so Mum would not let us stick posters up and I wouldn’t let my kids stick posters up. If they must have a football shirt, then we will get it framed and put in on the wall nicely."

Vicky - who has admitted she doesn't design the clothes she sells for her fashion brand and also caused fury in 2020 when she used furlough money to pay staff despite being worth hundreds of millions - also credited her parents with instilling a hard work ethic while she grew up in the home.

She said: “My family brought me up telling me I could achieve absolutely anything. Whenever I said I can’t do it, my dad, he just wouldn’t hear it. He’d say, what do you mean you can’t do it? Why? Why? And I do that to my own children as well.”
