Although skipper Virgil van Dijk seemed happy with the point, Carragher was not. The Reds icon believes his former team should've taken a golden opportunity to win in London, with Arsenal missing several key players on Sunday.

Riccardo Calafiori and Martin Odegaard both missed the game due to injury, while the Gunners were also without William Saliba due to suspension. Carragher told Sky Sports at full-time: "I must say I was disappointed with Liverpool. When you think of the problems Arsenal had [with injuries] during the game then l would have expected them to create a lot more."

The result leaves Liverpool one point behind Manchester City in the Premier League table, while Arsenal is now five points off the top of the table. Like Carragher, Arsenal's Saka was also "disappointed" at full-time. He said: "We're a bit disappointed. Credit to Liverpool, they are a good team, but we just feel that we didn't show our best selves for the full 90 minutes.

"First half we showed our quality, we dominated - they only scored from a set piece. Second half we sat back a bit and weren't at our best. Liverpool starting to win more duels, had more possession, and then naturally the momentum changed. I feel good - I thought I could finish the game, but obviously the manager took me off."

While Carragher and Saka weren't too pleased, Van Dijk was. The Reds captain said: "It's a very tough place to come, teams have noticed that over the years. They have created a solid team and make it difficult for everyone. To come back twice is a good thing, we take the point - that's the feeling."
