IIT Bombay started the registration process of JAM 2026. Know full details

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has started the registration process for the JAM 2026 exam. For which candidates can apply by visiting the official website.

There is big news for the students who dream of admission in the country's largest and prestigious higher education institutions. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has started the online registration process for IIT JAM 2026 exam from today. This is a golden opportunity for all the students who want to take admission in postgraduate programs like MSc, MSc-PhD dual degree or integrated PhD.

The registration process will be done completely through JOAPS portal (joaps.iitb.ac.in). Candidates can also get all the information related to the application by visiting jam2026.iitb.ac.in. The last date to apply has been fixed as 12 October 2025.

When will the application be done?

According to the schedule released by IIT Bombay, the registration process will run from 5 September 2025 to 12 October 2025. Candidates have to fill and submit the form within this period. Late applications will not be accepted.

What to keep in mind?

Every candidate will be allowed to submit only one application form. Whether he wants to appear in the examination of one or two subjects.

The form may be rejected if applied more than once.

It is necessary to provide personal email and mobile number for registration. All necessary information and updates will be sent to these.

Documents required for application

1. Class 10 mark sheet or certificate – to confirm date of birth and identity.

2. Photograph – Recent color passport size photo, with white or light colored background. The size of the photo should be between 50 kB to 200 kB and must be uploaded in JPEG/JPG format. Keep in mind that the photo should be clear and clear, there should be no shadow, mask or dark glasses on the face.

3. Signature – Signature done in black or dark blue ink on white paper. It has to be scanned and uploaded in JPEG/JPG format (50 kB to 150 kB).

4. Category Certificate – For OBC-NCL, EWS, SC and ST candidates. This certificate should be after 1 April 2025 and must be in the prescribed format.

5. Disability Certificate – PWD candidates have to submit a valid certificate.

How to apply?

First of all go to the official website jam2026.iitb.ac.in.

Register by entering your name, email id, mobile number and password.

After the registration is complete, an enrollment ID and OTP will be received, with the help of which the candidates will be able to login.

Go to the JOAPS portal and fill the application form.

Upload all the required documents (photo, signature, proof of date of birth, category certificate).

Pay the prescribed application fee online.

After checking all the information, submit the application form and take its printout.
