As per the decision of the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), all pensioners under EPS-95 (Employees' Pension Scheme-1995) are required to submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra (JPP) / Digital Life Certificate (DLC) every year to continue receiving pension. There are various ways and means to submit DLC or JPP. EPFO also allows the elderly or pensioners to submit their digital life certificates through the postman.
EPFO said on its X handle that EPS 95 pensioners can submit their digital life certificate through the postman at the door of their house to avoid the hassle of long queues.
According to social media posts, people who cannot stand in long queues for digital life certificate due to old age and don't even know how to use a smartphone to avail digital services at home can ask the postman at their nearest post office.
The postman will surely help the elderly to submit their digital life certificate at the comfort of their homes.
