UGC NET June 2025 Exam: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date for online application for the National Eligibility Test (NET) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) for the June 2025 session. Now candidates can apply till 12 May 2025.
The last date for application has been fixed as 12 May 2025 (till 11:59 pm), while the examination fee can be paid till 13 May 2025 at 11:59 pm. Candidates will get time from 14 to 15 May 2025 to improve their application. Apart from this, the possible dates of the UGC NET June 2025 exam have been kept between 21 to 30 June 2025, during which the exam will be conducted.

The application fee for UGC NET June 2025 exam has been fixed differently according to the category. General category candidates will have to pay Rs 1150, EWS/OBC (non-creamy layer) Rs 600, while SC/ST and PWD category candidates will have to pay Rs 325 as exam fee. The fee can be paid through debit card, credit card, net banking, or e-challan.
Eligibility Criteria
To appear in the exam, the candidate must have passed a master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks in the relevant subject from a recognized university. Reserved categories will be given relaxation as per the rules. Candidates who are in the final year of master's degree or its result is awaited are also eligible to apply. Apart from this, under the new education policy 2020, now candidates holding a 4-year bachelor's degree can also apply for the UGC NET exam.
The maximum age limit for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) has been fixed at 31 years, while there is no age limit for NET. Age relaxation will also be provided to eligible categories as per the rules.
