New Delhi [India], November 6 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia on Wednesday criticised the INDIA bloc's manifesto, which promises seven guarantees to the people of Jharkhand.
Bhatia targeted Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, referring to him as "Ghajini" and urging him to advise the Gandhi family against making false guarantees.
"Yesterday, Congress President Kharge became 'Ghajini.' He forgot that he himself advised the Gandhi family in Karnataka to refrain from offering fake guarantees," Bhatia stated.
He further remarked that the people of Jharkhand have rejected the INDIA bloc's 'guarantee cards,' criticising both Congress and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) by saying, "The only guarantee they offer is dynasty politics, appeasement, neglect of our tribal brothers and sisters, and a collapsed law and order situation."
Bhatia went on to call Kharge a "remote-controlled Congress President" who "changes his stance under pressure from the Gandhi family."
The INDIA bloc released its manifesto for Jharkhand on November 6, offering seven guarantees, including LPG cylinders for Rs 450 and the creation of 10 lakh jobs.
The guarantees include an LPG cylinder at Rs 450 per family, 7 kg of rations per person, a policy based on the 1932 Khatiyan along with the implementation of the Sarna Religion Code, an honorarium of Rs 2,500 for women, 28 per cent reservation for Scheduled Tribes, 12 per cent for Scheduled Castes, and 27 per cent for Other Backward Classes, 10 lakh jobs, and health insurance cover up to Rs 15 lakh.
The alliance also pledged to establish degree colleges in every block, as well as engineering, medical colleges, and universities at district headquarters. Additionally, they promised to raise the minimum support price for paddy to Rs 3,200 and to increase the prices of other agricultural products by 50 per cent.
The 81-member Jharkhand Assembly will go to the polls in two phases on November 13 and 20, with vote counting set for November 23. (ANI)
