Son Of Sardaar 2 Box Office Collection Day 1: Ajay Devgn's Comedy Film Earns ₹6.75 Crore, Beats Dhadak 2

About Dhadak 2

The film’s emotional depth and hard-hitting subject seem to be resonating with a niche urban audience. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is not a sequel to the Janhvi Kapoor-Ishaan Khatter film but an entirely new narrative inspired by the critically acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal.

Set in Bhopal, the story follows Nilesh (Siddhant), a young man from a backward caste, who dreams of becoming a lawyer. His ambition is constantly challenged by casteism and societal prejudice. Battling inner fear and external opposition, Nilesh’s life takes a turn when he falls in love with Vidhisha (Triptii), a confident and idealistic Brahmin girl. Their cross-caste romance unfolds amidst the harsh realities of caste politics and social judgment.

The film’s realistic portrayal of caste-based discrimination and a tragic love story has drawn attention, especially among younger audiences in metro cities. With the weekend ahead, the box office performance of Dhadak 2 will likely see a boost through positive word-of-mouth.
