Jaora (Madhya Pradesh): A cross complaint was filed after a violent clash between two parties over dogs in Ratnaraj Parisar Colony. The incident occurred Saturday night during a house inauguration ceremony of the Soni family, resulting in eight injuries.
According to local police station SI Kamal Singh Bamaniya, the conflict began when several dogs approached Reena Soni, a guest from Mandsaur. Frightened, she fell while running away and sustained injuries. Reena, her brother Satish and other relatives chased the dogs away, provoking protests from Astitva Dhariwal's family, who keep and protect the dogs in the colony.
The initial confrontation led to a police report against Astitva, Muskan and Yogita Dhariwal. Later that evening, the dispute escalated into violence involving sticks. Four members of the Soni family (Satish, Rajesh, Manish and Sanjay) and four Dhariwals (Astitva, Muskan, Yogita and Manish) were injured.
Police have registered cross cases against both parties. Ankit Jain filed against the Dhariwal family, while Muskan filed against Satish, Rajesh, Manish Soni and Ankit Jain.
On Sunday evening, colony residents gathered at police station to complain about problems with both stray and pet dogs. They reported previous complaints to the Municipality but claimed the Dhariwal family has prevented any action. The residents have requested a solution to the ongoing dog problem.
