Madhya Pradesh: Opposition Demands Removal Of Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Opposition, on Tuesday, created ruckus in the assembly by demanding that Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah should be removed from his post for making indecent comment against the army. The entire house plunged into the pandemonium as Opposition members started to speak simultaneously.

The Opposition raised the issue when Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya read the proposal in connection with nomination of members for SC ST welfare committee. Actually, this proposal has to be proposed by Tribal Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah but he was conspicuous by his absence.

Taking umbrage on this, Congress MLA Sohan Lal Valmik wanted to know that why Kunwar Vijay Shah is not present in the house and why is he in hiding. Valmik told that Shah should be removed from his post for making comment against Army officer Colonel Sofia Qureshi. Vijayvargiya tried to repel the opposition attack by accusing Congress of trying to question the Army action.

Notably, Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah got pulled up by Apex Court on Tuesday for not issuing public apology over his remarks against Sofia Qureshi. ever since he got embroiled into the controversy, Shah is avoiding public appearance.
