Rewa (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reached Rewa on a one-day visit on Sunday to pay tribute to his late father-in-law, Brahmanand Yadav.
Just after returning from his official tour to Dubai and Spain, CM Yadav landed at Delhi’s International Airport and directly proceeded to Rewa. He reached his in-laws’ residence to offer condolences following the recent demise of Brahmanand Yadav.
CM Mohan Yadav was on a foreign tour accompanied by his wife Seema Yadav, due to which he could not attend the last rites of his father-in-law Brahmanand Yadav on July 16.
CM left for Rewa Airport after staying at his in-laws' place for about 45 minutes and meeting his brother-in-law Ramanand and Sadanand and expressing his condolences.

His late father-in-law Brahmanand was a government teacher in Rewa for a long time. He spent most of his life in Rewa for more than 50 years. Due to this, despite his ancestral village being Sultanpur, UP, his last wish was that his last rites should be performed in Rewa.
Earlier on Sunday, the district in-charge minister Prahlad Patel also reached Rewa. He reached the house of late Brahmanand Yadav and offered condolences and floral tribute.

CM Mohan Yadav was on a seven-day visit to Dubai and Spain. CM's wife Seema Yadav was also on a foreign tour. When the news of his father-in-law's death came, the CM had already left for Spain from Dubai. He could not reach Rewa due to important meetings and distance.
In his place, both the sons reached Rewa for the funeral of their grandfather and attended the last rites.
Joined the Sangh during his student life
Retired Principal Brahmadin Yadav breathed his last at his residence in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday night at the age of 98. His health deteriorated on the night of June 27. He was admitted to the ICU ward of the Government Medical College after suffering from respiratory and stomach related diseases.
On June 28, his daughter and CM Mohan Yadav's wife Seema Yadav came to see him with her daughter. Then she returned to Madhya Pradesh.

Brahmadin Yadav was associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) from the beginning. He did many movements during his student life. After this, he fled from home to Mumbai to avoid arrest . His real name was Brahmanand, but to avoid arrest, he later changed his name to Brahmadin.
He started studying in Mumbai. After completing his studies, he came back to UP. After this, he reached Rewa in Madhya Pradesh for a job. Here he got a job in a government school. In 1987, he retired from the post of Principal.
After retirement, Brahmadin Yadav lived with his son Vivekanand Yadav in Sultanpur. Vivekanand is a physical teacher (PGT) at Saraswati Vidya Mandir. Brahmadin Yadav has three sons and a daughter.
The only daughter Seema was married to Mohan Yadav in Ujjain in 1994. The family is originally from Kodda Dadwa village of Bhiti tehsil of Ambedkarnagar district.
On June 30, he was taken home from the hospital after his condition improved. On Tuesday evening, his health suddenly deteriorated. By the time the family took him to the hospital, he stopped breathing. Brahmadin Yadav's wife died in the year 2023.
