Thane: Three people were injured after a tree collapsed on auto rickshaws traveling from Kalyan to the Chinchpada area in Kalyan on Tuesday. Kalyan-Bhiwandi witnessed thunder, lightning, and rain. In Kalyan due to storm and strong winds which caused the tree to collapse.
The incident took place in the Chinchpada area at 9:30 when a big tree collapsed on an auto rickshaw carrying two passengers.
Namdev Chaudhry, the chief of the Fire Department of Kalyan, said they received a call at 9:50 PM after which they rushed to the spot, rescued them, and promptly took them to Rukhmani Hospital in Kalyan, where the treatment is ongoing.
