Moradabad: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 87 development projects worth `1,172 crore during his one day visit to Moradabad. Emphasizing educational reforms and infrastructural growth, he highlighted the transformation of schools through the government’s ‘Operation Kayakalp’ initiative.
Addressing a public gathering, the Chief Minister stated that over 1.54 lakh schools have undergone major upgrades with smart classrooms, digital labs, clean drinking water, and separate toilets for boys and girls. He also underscored the establishment of modern education hubs such as Atal Residential Schools and Abhyuday Vidyalayas under the National Education Policy.

Yogi also responded to recent discussions around the PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) Pathshala concept, asserting that the state is committed to inclusive and quality education for all. He described the government’s focus as one of “transparency, transformation, and technological advancement.”
He further mentioned that 2.16 lakh police personnel have been recruited transparently since 2017, including over 12,000 women candidates. The CM reiterated his government’s strict stance on recruitment malpractices, saying any monetary exchange for jobs or postings would be met with legal consequences. Highlighting the cultural and industrial vibrancy of the city, Yogi said Moradabad is now recognized globally for its handicrafts, particularly under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme.

Yogi also emphasized the importance of promoting indigenous products during festivals and warned that buying imported items could inadvertently support disruptive elements.
He encouraged citizens to participate wholeheartedly in the “Vocal for Local” movement.
In light of the recent victory in the Kundarki by election, Yogi credited the public for supporting development and unity over division. The inauguration included key projects aimed at redefining Moradabad’s identity as a center of progress, culture, and skilled enterprise.

Constitution park and war museum
CM Yogi Adityanath visited Constitution Park, Hanuman Vatika, and the War Museum built under the Smart City project. He praised these sites as symbols of India’s constitutional values, spiritual strength, and valor, encouraging residents to visit and understand the city’s growing cultural and civic significance.
Entrepreneurs and students honored by CM
During the event, CM Yogi honored visually impaired student Usha for her poem in Braille. Several entrepreneurs received demo cheques under ODOP and startup schemes. Beneficiaries of housing and digital device distribution schemes were also felicitated, showcasing the government's commitment to inclusive growth and women empowerment.
