Bride Falls Ill Before Groom's Arrival, Dies After Injection; Family Accuses Doctor of Negligence

Send Push

All wedding preparations were in full swing in Devipura village, Bareilly, UP. The tents were set, food was ready, the DJ was playing, and guests eagerly awaited the baraat (wedding procession) of Ajayveer, the groom. Suddenly, the bride, 20-year-old Shanti, began feeling restless and uneasy.

Her family rushed her to Shifa Hospital in Baheri, where Dr. Tasleem Ahmed (also known as Bhura) treated her. The doctor diagnosed weakness, gave her an injection, and put her on a drip. However, instead of improving, Shanti’s condition worsened. The doctor referred her to Bareilly for further treatment, but she tragically died en route.

The family accused the doctor of negligence, claiming he was a quack and that the wrong injection caused Shanti’s death. Enraged villagers created a disturbance at the hospital, prompting the doctor to flee. Police arrived soon after and registered an FIR against Dr. Tasleem Ahmed on the complaint of Shanti’s father, Than Singh.

When the groom Ajayveer heard the heartbreaking news, he was devastated, and the wedding procession had to return without the bride.
