Men Mental Stress: Men are always told to hide their pain. People tell men to hide their weaknesses, due to which they become victims of serious diseases like depression.

Men Suicide News: Of the total number of people who committed suicide in India in the year 2022, 72 percent were men. This data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) has worried experts about the growing mental health problem among men and they say that this aspect is mostly ignored.
Health related conversations should become normal
Jyoti Kapoor, founder-director and senior psychiatrist of 'Manasthali', said that men are often made to suppress their vulnerabilities, due to which they become victims of it silently and in many cases the result is suicide. According to Dr. Kapoor, "Understanding and supporting men's mental health has never been more important. We must normalize mental health conversations, provide accessible medical resources and promote an environment that encourages emotional expression without any judgment, both at home and in the workplace."
Incidents of atrocities against men, ranging from false accusations, emotional abuse to domestic violence and legal harassment, not only cause significant psychological trauma but also reflect the systematic neglect of men’s mental health.
Society ignores the pain of men
A research conducted in rural areas of Haryana also revealed that 52.4 percent of married men experienced gender-based violence without any legal support or psychological help. According to the research, society continues to ignore the pain of men and the need of the hour is to make immediate improvements in this. Dr. Preeti Singh, senior consultant clinical psychologist at 'Seamless Minds Clinic' and Paras Health, said that this problem has become even more complicated due to the lack of legal protection measures.
Dr. Preeti Singh said that a study of 2013-14 found that 53.2 percent of rape allegations filed during that period were false, raising concerns among psychologists and legal experts about the psychological impact on those who fall victim to false allegations. Dr. Singh said that this often results in clinical depression, anxiety, stress-related disorders and long-term emotional trauma.
