Harry Maguire and Casemiro are among the stars currently set to leave Manchester United for nothing next summer. The pair are out of contract in just a year’s time, with club chiefs due to make calls over their respective futures.
United are fresh off the back of a hectic summer transfer window that has seen them spend in excess of £200million. Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko all arrived to bolster the Red Devils’ attack.
Goalkeeper Senne Lammens also completed a deadline day move from Royal Antwerp. A new midfielder was also on the agenda for United but that move might have to wait until at least January, and possibly next summer.
United also need to make decisions over some of their out-of-contract stars. Maguire is their headline potential free agent.
The England defender was signed for £80m from Leicester in 2019 but could leave for nothing. He has already expressed his hope of a new deal at Old Trafford.

“I’m sure over the next few months they'll sit down and we'll have a conversation about where we want to go and if they want to extend, but the transfer window will open again in January,” he said.
“I have something in my mind about what I want to do and what I want to be. I don't want to put it out there to everybody but it's an amazing club to play for and you'd be silly if you wanted to jump out of it as soon as you could.”
Alongside Maguire, former Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro is also out of contract next summer - although there is an option to extend until 2027. The Brazilian was signed for an initial fee of £60m in 2022.

But he has endured a rollercoaster spell at Old Trafford. Ruben Amorim admitted last season that Casemiro was unable to play in his system, before performing a dramatic U-turn.
The pair currently bank a reported £565,000 per week between them so chiefs have a tricky decision over whether to offer them new deals or let them go.
Elsewhere, left-back Tyrell Malacia also sees his contract expire next June. The Dutchman’s spell at Old Trafford has been ruined by injuries and it appears very likely that he will leave. The defender was linked with a move away in the summer but did not manage to find a new club.
Finally, veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton is the final player out of contract next summer. He re-signed with the club in the summer and is a valued member of the dressing room, but with more talent arriving in his position, he could move into a coaching role.
