A double-decker bus has burst into flames on a major road in London - with a shocking video showing it burning at the side of the road with plumes of thick smoke billowing into the air.
In a dramatic clip posted to X, bright orange flames were seen tearing through the back of the bus and engulfing the entire vehicle as stunned drivers slowed down to watch the horror unfold. The video was shared alongside a message reading: "Double Decker bus on fire with blazing flames, near Colney Hatch Lane, N10." Another X user shared a picture of the bus, adding: "Suggest colleagues avoid the North Circular eastbound at Friern Barnet." The force said in a statement: "Firefighters were called to a bus alight on Atlas Road in New Southgate this evening. Most of the double-decker bus was damaged by fire. One man left the bus before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
