The fire service tackled a large blaze at a supermarket petrol station, where plumes of dark smoke could be seen billowing into the sky.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Morrisons in Doncaster at around 10.20am this morning to put out the blaze which has injured one person. The size of the fire, which is believed to have started after a vehicle caught alight, forced crews to evacuate the nearby store in York Road.
Footage of the incident, which has been posted online by motorists, shows the smoke billowing from the petrol station. One person near the scene said the fire involved a van and it lead to a "strong smell" coming from the area. It comes after a dad’s tragic three-word post hours before plunging to his death at Oasis gig.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson explained: "We were called at 10.23am this morning (9 August) to assist the fire service following a report of a vehicle on fire at a petrol station in York Road, Doncaster.
"A road closure was put in place, with the petrol station and a nearby supermarket temporarily evacuated to ensure people's safety.
"The fire has since been extinguished, with all roads reopened and all evacuations lifted. One person has been taken to hospital with a minor injury."
John Swiffen told Doncaster Free Press: “I pulled into the petrol station with my son Riley to fill up as we were going to watch Doncaster Rovers away to Mansfield Town.
"As I filled up the car, I noticed a very strong smell of what I thought was gas. I went into the kiosk to pay and the attendant was outside unpacking a delivery. As he came back inside, my son came running in shouting ‘get out dad there is a fire in that van.’"
It's understood that all roads which were shut because of the blaze have now reopened and evacuations have been lifted. South Yorkshire Police has since confirmed the fire has been extinguished.
Morrisons and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue have been approached for comment.
