Maura Higgins' powerful response as she's told she's 'too old' to wear boob-baring dress

Maura Higgins has impressed fans by taking a savage swipe at an online troll after they suggested that she was 'too old' to be wearing revealing clothes in her latest Instagram offering.

The 34-year-old Love Island star posted photos in a bejewelled fishnet dress that highlighted her assets while promoting Love Island Games Aftersun in Fiji. Captioning the post, Irish bombshell Maura wrote: "Who watched the latest challenge I hosted?!…with a t*t out or whatever."

While many fans praised her look, calling the brunette beauty a ''goddess'' and ''the most beautiful woman in the world", one follower shared their disdain for Maura's latest look and left a rather nasty comment under her new post.

"Dress appropriately ya too old," the keyboard warrior typed before unimpressed Maura quickly replied and left a savage response. The Love Island favourite referenced the follower’s profile image, which featured Fairy dishwasher tablets as she hit back: "I'll dress how I want, you just worry about keeping your dishes clean."

Maura's snappy comeback comes amid one of the busiest years of her both professionally and personally. The much-loved TV star recently addressed attention surrounding a her scandalous kiss with married I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! co-star Danny Jones.

Addressing the controversy for the first time, in a subtle nod to the kiss, Maura stated that she was “ignoring the haters.” This shocking kiss occurred just weeks after her split from former TOWIE star Pete Wicks, with whom she had previously shared gushing comments about during her time in the I’m A Celeb jungle, where she met McFly singer Danny.

However, just a few short weeks after her jungle experience ended, it was clear that her romance with Pete, 36, was over. On Valentine's Day, Maura was pictured enjoying a night on the town with her close pals and Pete was nowhere to be seen. When asked by a Paparazzi where Pete was, Maura replied: "Dunno, probably out cheating."

Her four-word comeback sparked huge controversy, with Pete later insisting that he was 'deeply hurt' by the claims and continuously denied what Maura had suggested.

In addition to her personal and romantic life, it was recently claimed that Maura’s friendship with fellow reality star Molly-Mae Hague is "strained" after her shocking kiss with Danny jones.

According to sources, tension developed after Maura’s involvement with Danny, and it was something that just didn't sit right with her friend. "Molly hasn’t defriended Maura or anything as savage as that," an insider told Mail Online. "But she was left with a horrible taste in her mouth after seeing her and Danny."

Despite the rumours surrounding her so-called strained relationship with Molly-Mae, Maura continues to focus on her career, hosting the Love Island Games Aftersun segments and maintaining a strong social media presence - much to the delight of her adoring fans.
