Amit Mishra Retirement: After the retirement of R Ashwin, another spinner of Team India has announced retirement from all three formats of cricket. This is none other than Team India's leg spinner Amit Mishra, who was continuously away from Team India and now he has put a full stop to his 25-year long cricket career.

Amit Mishra has achieved the feat of taking a hat-trick 3 times in the IPL. He is also the only bowler in this format to do so. Apart from this, he has also bowled brilliantly for India. However, now he can play in other T20 leagues of the world.

In fact, 42-year-old former Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra told news agency INS that,

"These 25 years in cricket have been very memorable for me. I thank the BCCI, the administration, the Haryana Association, the support staff, my fellow players and family from the bottom of my heart. I also thank the fans for their unwavering love and support, which made my journey more special. Cricket has given me countless memories and invaluable lessons and every moment spent on the field has become a memory that I will cherish for a lifetime."

Amit Mishra had a longer journey than Sachin Tendulkar

Talking about Amit Mishra's cricket career, he has played 22 Tests, 36 ODIs and 10 T20 International matches, in which he has taken 76, 64 and 16 wickets respectively. Let us tell you that Amit last played an ODI match for Team India against New Zealand in 2016. He also played his last Test in the same year. He last played a T20 match against England in 2017.

Not only this, Amit Mishra's cricket career was longer than that of Sachin Tendulkar, who is called the God of Cricket. Sachin ended his 24-year long journey in cricket on 16 November 2013, while Amit's career lasted 25 years.
