A tragic incident took place on Diwali day in Delhi where firing took place along with firecrackers. Two people lost their lives due to firing in Shahdara's Farsh Bazar area, while a child has been injured and has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Firing incident: According to media reports, the incident took place in the Farsh Bazar police station area at around 8:30 pm on Thursday night. The police received information through a PCR call that firing was taking place in Bihari Colony. On reaching the spot, it was found that 40-year-old Akash Sharma, his 16-year-old nephew Rishabh and 10-year-old son Krish were injured in the firing.
Eyewitness statement: Eyewitnesses said that Akash Sharma and his nephew Rishabh died on the spot, while Krish was immediately rushed to the hospital after being shot. DCP Shahdara Prashant Gautam said that the attackers also touched Akash's feet before firing, which points to personal enmity.
Police investigation and further action: After the preliminary investigation, the police believe that this incident could be the result of some personal enmity. The police have recorded the statements of the victim's family and further investigation is underway. At present, the police is trying to find out what was the real reason behind this firing.
