Strictly Come Dancing star and TV actress Dani Harmer has revealed that she was taken to the hospital over the weekend. The 36-year-old, who shot to fame on the television show Tracy Beaker, revealed that she has now been discharged from the hospital but had to cancel an upcoming job. She said to fans on TikTok: "I am not very well. I was admitted to the hospital over the weekend. But I'm out. I feel like poo, actually. They're not entirely sure what's wrong with me, so I'm still having tests. I'm absolutely gutted that I've had to cancel work and a job that I was really excited to do.
"Those that know me know how much I love my job. So, absolutely devastated. Thank you to those that have messaged me asking if I'm okay. I will hopefully be back and on my feet soon. Sending you lots of love."
Dani appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2012, where she finished in fourth place with her professional partner Vincent Simone. She was known for her energetic performances and received high scores for routines like the Argentine Tango.
With Strictly Come Dancing now officially back on our screens, the first celebrity contestant was eliminated over the weekend. In the dreaded dance-off, it was Chris Robshaw up against Thomas Skinner, who had both landed in the bottom two.
It was later revealed during the results show that Thomas and his professional partner, Amy Dowden, were sent home by the judges during Sunday's (05.10.25) results show on the BBC programme.
Thomas and Amy performed a salsa to Dizzee Rascal's Bonkers, but it wasn't enough to impress judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood as all three opted to save Robshaw.
This meant that Motsi Mabuse, who had the casting vote on this week's show, did not need to give her verdict, although she stated that she would have voted the same way when asked by presenter Tess Daly.
Reflecting on his time on Strictly, Thomas said: "I've loved it. I've never danced before and my stay was short, but Amy's amazing."
Strictly Come Dancing returns on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Saturday 11 October.
