After Life is a British comedy drama television series created, written, executive produced, and directed by Ricky Gervais, who plays lead character Tony Johnson. It was released in 2019 and ran for three seasons. The series synopsis reads: "After a horrific car crash, a young teacher awakes on a mortuary slab. The funeral director convinces her she is not alive but transitioning into the spirit world. Is he telling the truth?"
