Bhopal: In a major operation, Lokayukta officials conducted raids on the premises of a Junior Auditor with the Technical Education Department, and uncovered assets worth a crore disproportionate to his income. Several raids were conducted at various locations, including Ramesh Hingorani's houses in Laxman Nagar, Bairagarh, and multiple educational institutions. The incident came to light after a complaint was filed against Hingorani, alleging that he has assets disproportionate to his income. Following this, six Lokayukta teams were deployed across different locations, including Gandhi Nagar, as part of the extensive investigation.
Raid
During the raid, authorities discovered diamonds, gold and silver jewellery, valuable documents, and multiple investment papers at Hingorani's residence. Additionally, four cars, including a Creta and Scorpio, along with five two-wheelers, were seized from his property. An FIR has been filed against Hingorani under charges of possessing disproportionate assets to his official income.
