Jaipur: Private bus operators in Rajasthan will stage a protest at transport minister's residence on Monday over foreign investments in state's bus operations.
During a recent visit to Germany, chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma met with representatives from FlixBus, a private intercity bus service provider. This service is already operational in cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Delhi.
Satyanarayan Sahu, president of the Bus Operators Association Rajasthan, said that the state govt should communicate with existing private bus owners about the role these private companies will play. The association has warned that if their demands are not addressed on Monday following the symbolic protest, they will go on strike around Diwali. TNN
