Infra push: NBCC bags Rs 3,700 crore Rajasthan order, to build convention centre, IT tower and housing on 95-acre land

State-owned NBCC Ltd has secured a major order worth around Rs 3,700 crore from the Rajasthan government to develop and market a 95-acre mixed-use project in Jaipur.

In a regulatory filing on Monday, the company said it has been selected as the lead agency to design, build and market the proposed project, which will include the Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre , a Global Capability Centre (GCC) Tower, an IT Tower, luxury hotels, and new commercial and residential infrastructure on land allotted by Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation (RIICO), PTI reported.

Convention centre with 7,500-seat capacity

The Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre is planned to be built on about 25 acres, with a total seating capacity of 7,500.

The project site is located along the B2 Bypass on Tonk Road in Jaipur, according to the company’s disclosure.

Rs 3,700 crore investment cleared

The Rajasthan government has approved the development with an overall estimated investment of Rs 3,700 crore. NBCC will handle both development and marketing responsibilities.

NBCC Ltd, which operates in the project management consultancy and real estate space, said the mandate highlights its growing role in large-scale urban infrastructure projects across the country.
