DC had earlier posted 199 for 3, courtesy of a sublime unbeaten 112 off 65 balls from KL Rahul. He became the first batter to score IPL centuries for three different franchises, having previously done so for Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants. Rahul shared vital stands with Abishek Porel (30) and Axar Patel (25), and added finishing touches alongside Tristan Stubbs (21*).
The win pushed Gujarat to the top of the table with 18 points and confirmed playoff berths for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings.
Earlier in the day, Punjab beat Rajasthan Royals by 10 runs in a high-scoring thriller in Jaipur.
Delhi now face an uphill battle for the final spot, needing to win their last two games and depend on other results.
