The 2024 Haryana Assembly election results have confirmed a narrow victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Uchana Kalan constituency, where BJP candidate Devender Chatar won by a mere 32 votes against Congress's Brijendra Singh.
This outcome marks a significant political shift in a region traditionally dominated by the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and its leader, Dushyant Chautala, who got just 4% of the votes.
As per Election Commission data, Chatar garnered 48,968 votes (29.5%) while Singh got 48,936 votes (29.48%). Former deputy CM Chautala got just 7,950 votes.
