On the latest episode of Beyond The Boundary , which aired on October 18, Times of India's Sahil Malhotra was joined by Chetan Narula, Nitin Naik, and Dwaipayan Datta to analyze India's fightback and their solid batting display against New Zealand in the first Test at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

The panel discussed how Team India's counter-attacking efforts, led by fifties from Virat Kohli , Rohit Sharma , and Sarfaraz Khan , kept hopes of a miraculous turnaround alive. India reached 231 for three at stumps on Day 3 of their second innings, still trailing by 125 runs.

Kohli (70), who crossed 9,000 Test runs during his innings, was dismissed by Glenn Phillips off the last ball of the day, edging to Tom Blundell. Sarfaraz (70) remained unbeaten.

Kohli and Sarfaraz added 136 runs for the third wicket after skipper Rohit laid the foundation with a fluent 52. New Zealand had earlier posted 402, powered by Rachin Ravindra (134) and Tim Southee (63), building a strong lead of 356.

Watch Beyond the Boundary from Monday-Friday at 6:15pm IST as Times of India dives deep into the cricket action on and off the field.
