OPS, Tamil Nadu’s former CM and expelled AIADMK neta, is planning to quit BJP-led NDA, feeling ‘disrespected’ after PM Modi didn’t give him an audience during his visit to the state. OPS had written to Modi, requesting permission to receive him at the airport.
OPS, facing pressure from his supporters to quit NDA, would consult his adviser before taking a decision in a couple of days, a source told TOI . “An alliance with Vijay’s TVK is a possibility,” said a close aide of OPS. “I don’t think he will remain in NDA for long, but his legal battle to reclaim AIADMK from EPS will continue.”
The OPS camp believes that remaining in NDA would further diminish his standing.
