NEW DELHI: Russian President Vladimir Putin will likely visit India around December 5, news agency PTI reported citing people familiar with the matter
According to report, it is not known whether the Russian president will come for a day-long trip or if he will be in India for two days.
Russia's foreign minister Sergey Lavrov will also travel to India next month to finalise the finer details of the presidential visit.
This comes amid growing ties between New Delhi and Moscow after US President Donald Trump's decision to impose 50 per cent tariffs on India,
Earlier, foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters in Moscow that the Russian President will discuss preparation for the December visit to India during the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in China.
The two leaders will met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in China’s Tianjin.
