A student in Agra was allegedly blackmailed by a group of teenagers after they recorded a private video of her. Fearing the consequences, the 12-year-old girl , who is the daughter of a local businessman, started stealing money from her home - over Rs 6.8 lakh within a month - to meet her perpetrators' demands, reports Deepak Lavania. The girl's family grew suspicious when they noticed the money missing from home. To their surprise, they found their daughter to be the "culprit".
Upon questioning her, she narrated the ordeal to her parents who reported the matter to police. DCP Agra , Suraj Rai, said on Tuesday, "After a complaint by the girl's family, an FIR was registered under BNS section 308 (1) (extortion)." A senior cop, privy to the details, said that the girl had become friends with one of the accused teens from her school. The boy shared this information with his friends, who recorded an objectionable video of the girl without her consent.
