NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday attended the ‘ Viksit Uttar Pradesh Vision 2047 ’ conclave, highlighting the state’s remarkable financial growth and development trajectory .
The event, organised by Times of India , showcased the transformation of Uttar Pradesh over the past eight years under his leadership.
UP achieves record revenue surplus
CM Yogi revealed that Uttar Pradesh has achieved a revenue surplus of Rs 70,000 crore, a significant rise from the Rs 37,000 crore reported by the CAG two years ago.
“The CAG report has revealed the surprising fact that Uttar Pradesh is a revenue surplus state with Rs 37,000 crore, this is two year old data. Currently, we are at Rs 70,000 crore revenue surplus. Despite being such a large state by population, UP is moving forward efficiently in all areas,” said the CM.
He added, “If India becomes a $30 trillion economy, Uttar Pradesh will become a $6 trillion economy by 2047.”
“Everyone knows how the development of UP was hindered by dynastic politics and caste politics. How UP was pushed into the fire of riots, destroying its trade. How a state that was once a vital contributor to India's economy was made weak," said CM Yogi .
One District-One Development initiatives
CM Yogi aannounced the launch of “One District-One Medical College, One District-One Product,” aimed to strengthen healthcare and local industries across the state, ensuring inclusive growth.
“They (previous governments) had given One District-One Mafia,” he added.
Vision 2047: Roadmap for a developed Uttar Pradesh
The Viksit Uttar Pradesh Vision 2047 Conclave brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and visionaries to chart a roadmap for achieving a developed Uttar Pradesh by 2047.
The highlight of the event was CM Yogi Adityanath’s address, outlining the state’s future growth strategy and plans for sustained economic and social development.
