Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is taking fresh aim at Vice President JD Vance , firing off a campaign email that labeled him “full of sh*t” just hours after he mocked her during a Wisconsin rally .
Vance, appearing Friday at Mid-City Steel in LaCrosse near the Minnesota border, asked the crowd to join him in prayer for victims of a recent Minnesota mass shooting before pivoting to partisan jabs. The 41-year-old recounted a conversation with former President Donald Trump , joking that Democrats reflexively oppose whatever Trump supports.
“If Donald Trump came out tomorrow and said he really likes puppies you would have AOC come out and say, ‘Puppies are terrible,’” Vance quipped, drawing laughter from the crowd.
Ocasio-Cortez’s team quickly hit back with a fundraising appeal , accusing the vice president of spreading “baseless lies.” The email linked to an X post from @CalltoActivism that read, “JD you’re such a kiss ass — if Trump said puppies were edible, you’d ask him for the recipe.”
The 35-year-old congresswoman urged supporters to donate $5 to help fight what she called “the oligarchy,” keeping up her long-running fundraising push.
Republicans wasted no time punching back. “It’s no wonder that AOC has resorted to grifting off cheap insults,” RNC spokeswoman Kiersten Pels told The Post. “Democrats’ favorability is at rock bottom because they’ve abandoned working Americans in favor of defending crime and fighting for illegal aliens.”
The spat is the latest in a growing list of clashes between the two firebrand politicians. Vance previously dismissed speculation about a 2028 Ocasio-Cortez presidential run as “the stuff of nightmares.”
