A photo taken at the Republican National Convention in July 2024 has gone viral after social media users claimed it shows “angel wings” behind US President Donald Trump .
The image was captured just days after Trump survived an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, and has been widely shared online with many calling it a symbol of protection.
The photo was taken by photographer Courtney N. Reed during the RNC in Milwaukee. Reed later posted it on X, saying she noticed something unusual in the background when reviewing her shots.
“I noticed something special about this photo I took. It appeared to me that angel wings are behind President Trump,” she wrote.
Reed added: “RNC Convention July 2024, days after President Trump survived the attempt on his life, I noticed something special about this photo I took. It appeared to me that angel wings are behind @realDonaldTrump as a sign of the protection he received days earlier in Butler, Pennsylvania.”
The visual effect in the image appears to be the result of white lights or stage decor forming a wing-like shape directly behind Trump as he stood at the podium.
